My client is a long-standing Property and Casualty agency that markets exclusively to trucking and transportation accounts.  They are a wholly-owned subsidiary of an insurance company and are currently seeking an Agency Manager to oversee all agency operations.    

This agency has been around for over 90yrs but is still relatively small.  They currently have 3 full-time employees but have the resources available to enable growth.  The Agency Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales, service, marketing, growth and all other agency operations.  They will also oversee the strategic direction of the company to help build a profitable book of business.  This person will also act as the liaison between the agency and carrier.

Established Insurance Carrier has an immediate need for a Production Underwriter to handle middle and large market commercial surety accounts and large transactional surety opportunities.  Candidate must have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience with medium to large surety market.  Responsibilities will include travel (approximately 50% of the time) to clients, agents/brokers and Regional offices in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and Tennessee with potential for increased geographic territories. Role will be responsible for underwriting and premium growth of mid to large sized accounts as well as large single bond opportunities.  Underwriter will also maintain coordination and management responsibilities of activities for at least one other commercial surety specialist.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, AFSB designation preferred
• 8+ years of experience with medium to large surety underwriting
• Strong product knowledge and existing agent/broker relationships in Southeast Region
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently
